Williams spent his childhood summers in Southern Spain with his Spanish family, by swimming pools and in waterparks, vast quantities of water, situated next to desert, piped down from the North. The water made undrinkable by the large amounts of Chlorine added to it, however, paradoxically safe to swim in. This print series follows a similar logic, the raw negative destroyed by Chlorine then redeveloped showing the scarring on the original image by the familiar chemical, a continual cycle of creation and destruction.
